Mr/Ms FLAG Contest Rules

- Competition is open to all adults over the age of 21.
- Contestants must wear gloves for ALL aspects of the competition. Contestants are expected to own their own gloves and primary fetish gear.
- Contestants must have an obvious interest in leather, BDSM, or fetishes in general.
- All contestants must fill out and sign a contestant application prior to the contestant interview.
- Contestants must agree to appear onstage wearing appropriate fetish attire and gloves (while conforming with local regulations pertaining to nudity and obscenity).
- By signing the application, contestants will allow their before- and after-contest and on¬stage photographs to be taken and printed in FLAG’s newsletter (“The Flagship”), FLAG's web site, and the FLAG Yahoo! Group, or any FLAG¬related publications.
- All photographs become the property of Fits Like A Glove.
- The winner shall receive a back patch, membership to Fits Like A Glove, and $100 cash.
- The winner will also receive the Mr/Ms FLAG sash to use for their title year. This sash is not theirs to keep, it must be returned for their step down to be presented to the following year’s winner. This sash will be a legacy sash used for each title year and is expected to be kept in great condition by each titleholder. Any damages or loss of the sash and it will be the titleholder’s responsibility to replace it.
- As a representative of FLAG, the contest winner will be required to participate in all FLAG related events from August 2010¬August 2011. The titleholder is expected to be present and march in the Boston and Providence Pride Parades, be a judge, and step down at the next contest. The winner will also be on the cover and centerfold of The Flagship. No nudity required. It is requested that the winner write an article for the newsletter about their title experience.
- Anybody who is already a titleholder for a different contest may still compete for Mr/Ms FLAG. The winner of Mr/Ms FLAG is permitted to compete at any other leather contest.
- Fits Like A Glove requests that the winner of the Mr/Ms FLAG contest conduct himself/herself in an appropriate and respectful manner when i.e., wearing the back patch and representing the FLAG title.
MR/MS FLAG JUDGING METHOD
The contest shall be broken down into four sections:
- Interview – Maximum 50 points. Each contestant will undergo an interview where the judges will evaluate them on confidence, ability to answer questions “on their feet”, and public presentation. (The interviews are held the afternoon of the contest at an off-site location. If you have a problem with the interview schedule, arrangements can be made to interview the contestant prior to the contest.
- Touch – Maximum 30 points. Each contestant will caress each blindfolded judge’s face and shoulder area with their best gloves. Contestants will be judged by style and finesse of touch. Contestants will only be identified by number at this point.
- Full Gear – Maximum 40 points. Contestants will show off their choice of full fetish attire with gloves. This category will be judged on how well the gloves complement the contestant and their fetish attire. Note: this does not necessarily mean leather attire. This is not a physique contest, but a contest of confidence. This portion of the contest will look at how well the fetish attire fits the person wearing it and how comfortable the contestant appears in the attire.
- Intro & Question – Maximum 30 points. Each contestant will be allowed a few seconds to introduce themselves and then respond to a question with a witty answer.
